DADDY'S NECKTIES

Well daddy's neckties got sent to the cleaners after they were used as cleaning rags to clean up mommy's makeup.

Let me see, where do I begin. Dare I say that the Taz found something else to do with makeup? If the Taz doesn't do something in her life that centers around bling, glitz, shoes, handbags,or makeup my guess is way off!

Mommy put everyone down for their nap after lunch the other afternoon and she proceeded to get a few things done. She fixed herself a sandwich and started on cleaning up the kitchen. She took a bite of sandwich then washed a dish, and so on. You know how it's done mommies!

After about an hour mommy decided to check on her sleeping angels. One by one she tiptoed around, opened doors, then quietly closed doors. Of course she left the best for last. A good thing.......for when she opened the door on her bedroom, where she had put the Taz, she gasped in horror. Her heart took a leap into her throat and she sprinted across the carpet to check on her darling, who was laying prostrate on the bed, wearing only a pair of panties, and her hands were laid out and crossed across her chest. Her face, chest, and hands was smeared with red and to mommy it looked like blood. What could she have gotten into? I've locked up everything she thought.

The rise and fall of the Taz's chest told mommy that she was in deep slumber. By the time she stood by her bed she saw daddy's ties laying strewn from the bed back into the bathroom. Like she was leaving a trail of bread crumbs back into the bathroom where she could go back and try on more makeup. Each tie was clearly showing the tell tale sign of mommy's makeup!

Mommy walked into the bathroom to discover the full scale of the Taz's makeup makeover. Every eyeshadow, lipstick, blush, and mineral powder she owned was splayed on the sink and counter. What am I going to do with this girl?

Knowing full well that her anger would probably get the best of her mommy turned around and walked out and shut the door behind her. I'll deal with this when she wakes up!

And that she did!

Taz's Birthday

ce

I was gone for the Taz's birthday so yesterday I took her to lunch and shopping. When I picked her up at home she was all ready in her pink skirt, pink and white shirt, socks and shoes, and pretty pink ribbons held up her two pony tails. The picture of cute and innocence.

She got into the back seat and buckled in to her booster chair and chatted all the way to Wal Mart. I was waiting for the real Taz to show up.....

She took my hand as soon as she got out of the car and told me to watch out for the cars. Everytime a car came close to us she nudged me back out of the way. A perfect little girl watching out for grandma.

We walked up to the counter at McDonald's and I asked her if she wanted chicken nuggets or a hamburger. She pointed to the toys she wanted in the happy meal. I asked her again if she wanted nuggets or hamburger. She said. "Hamburger and I have to go potty grandma."

I handed the girl money and she said. "Go ahead and I'll hold your meal until you get back."

With a thank you I took the Taz's hand and headed for the bathroom. With that all out of the way we made our way back to get our lunch. I was surprised when the Taz ate all her lunch like a proper little lady. I was expecting her head to spin and food to go flying. At least mom says she acts like that at home!

With our drinks in hand I looked for a basket to put our purchases in and of course our drinks and let my purse ride instead of hang on the shoulder. We went up one isle with all the pretty dolls and furry pets that barked, meowed, and growled when you pet them. On down the next isle. By the time we made it half way down the second isle the Taz says. "Go back to the other one."

We head back down the last isle again and she heads straight for a box with blankets in it, picks it up and puts it in the basket. "Are you sure you want that one?"

"Yes grandma."

I couldn't figure out why she wanted blankets. They were doll blankets but if that was what she wanted who was I to say get something else. I decided to get her baby sister something too so I picked up the cute little puppy that walked and barked. After all I could play with it too!

I felt bad just buying the Taz blankets so we looked at another dog in a bag. The Taz loves bags! The dog barked too and growled but he was also very soft. The Taz nuzzles with soft cloth be it a blanket, pillow, or even their new live puppy.

After an hour we headed home with our prizes to show mommy. When we walked out of Wal Mart the Taz held up her hand to stop the traffic so we could walk across the street to the car.

As soon as we walked in the door she handed the box of blankets to mommy who promply took them out of the box. The Taz grabbed only the one that was the softest.......just like her blanket she takes to bed and drags around every day to cuddle with. That was all she wanted out of the box.....that one blanket!

All in all the Taz was the perfect little princess with grandma. Now we're waiting for the real Taz to surface.

At The Beach

Well this is going to be short and sweet. My three babies are at the beach enjoying the sand and the sun. I'm going to have to call and see what they are doing and what they have done!

New Month

My little Taz has been quiet......well quiet for her anyway. I went over to the house this morning and she wasn't up yet. Now mind you it's 9:30 and no one was up, only Mommy and the two children she was watching.

We were sitting there talking when this little red headed girl peeks around the corner from Mommy's bedroom. Her hair hanging in her eyes and flying every which way. I don't know how she can see where she is going!

She runs over to Mommy and jumps in her lap. "Hey Taz I haven't seen you in a week." She buried her head in Mommy's boosom.

I then went upstairs to wake big brother and get Bee out of her bed. I couldn't find Eyore. His bed was full of toys and boxes! Mommy asked me if he was in big brother's bed. "No."

"Then he must be in Taz's bed."

My goodness I've never seen such a family that likes to bed hop. You never know who's going to be in who's bed in the morning! Then again Mommy was like that when she was little.

When I left I took a hold of Taz's nose and told her I was going to keep it. Her hands flew to her face and she felt around for her nose, and she smiled. That goes way back to when I was a child when my daddy did that to me!

Further adventures of the Taz, Bee, and Eyore......stay tuned!

Nuzzing

This is her famous words "nuzzing, nuzzing Mommy." When she answers with this Mommy knows she's been up to or into something. Such was the case last night.

Three years ago we took a trip to Branson for Eyore's dance competition. He was four at the time. We took Eyore's big brother plus his cousin. Mommy was eight months pregnant with the Taz I might add. Since this was their first time to Branson Mommy wanted to take in all the sights between competition.

Our first trip was to Silver Dollar City. They had a vendor that made a cast of your hand in colored wax. Big brother had his done in yellow, Eyore and gma had one done holding hands in blue was, and cousin had one done in hot pink. We wrapped them so carefully so they would make the trip home in one piece. They were kept in shoe boxes until recently when Eyore got his own room, then it was proudly displayed on his book shelf. That is untill last night.

Mommy was changing Bee's diaper when Taz walked up to her trying to get something off her hands. She kept rubbing her hands together then brushing them off. Mommy asked her. "What were you into?"

"Nuzzing, nuzzing Mommy."

Mommy knew from that answer she had been into something. She finished with the baby and went upstairs. She didn't have to look very far. At the top of the stairs she saw the trail of tiny, deep blue, waxy pieces leading into Eyore's room. She looked at the bookshelf and saw the empty space where the wax hand once sat.

Another day in the life of the Taz!!!!

Shopping With The Taz

Mommy and I have been going swimming every morning so we decided to get weights to help us in the pool. To loose weight of course. I was already out and about so I told her I'd meet her at the sports store. When she pulled into the parking lot I got out of the car and walked over to where she pulled. I opened the back door to get Bee out and from the other side of the car big brother and his friend bailed out.

Big brother's friend jumped out and turned around to help the Taz out. "Noooooooo Taz put your dress down. Where are your panties?"

From behind me I hear "Nooooooooooooo when did she do that. Where's her panties? Start looking."

Mommy starts digging into diaper bags, seat pockets, and her purse to see if she just happened to put another pair of panties somewhere. I starting laughing and said. "Just put one of Bee's diapers on her."

"I didn't bring diapers. I wasn't planning on being out long."

Everyone was busy unloading the rest of the kids when a man stopped Mommy pointing to the Taz and said. "I think that one needs to go to the bathroom."

There stood the Taz dress held high for all the world to see her naked bottom. Mommy said thank you and walked over to get her with a pair of panties she finally found at the bottom of her purse.

Everyone finally made it into the store. I had the Taz in my basket, Mommy had Bee in her basket, and big brother took Eyore and friend and we all spread out. The Taz was tame for the rest of the trip which ended up to be an hour by the time we found the swimming weights we were looking for.

I asked Mommy if her shopping trips were all this exciting. She said, "Mom you wouldn't believe."

Monday Blues

This morning I stopped by to see my babies. It was a long week end with out seeing them. As soon as I walked in the door I yelled Mema's here. No one answered. Mommy was changing a diaper on her day care toddler. I yelled again and still no answer. I turned to Mommy and asked "Where is everyone?"

"They're upstairs playing."

I no sooner asked where everyone was when I turned around and here comes the Taz, naked as a jay bird! "Where are your clothes girl?"

She maybe almost three but sometimes I have trouble understanding some of her jibberish. I asked her again where was her clothes. She ignored me and pranced over to the couch and sat down to watch Sponge Bob.

I heard a giggle and looked up the stairs to see a little head peering around the post. She had a big bruise under her eye. "Mommy how did my little girl get that?"

"Well Mom look at the Taz's forehead and you will see another one. One fell off the couch and landed on the coffee table and the other ran into the side of her princess bed!"

Not only are they close in age and little Bee flits behind the Taz it looks like they are going to compete with boo boo's too.

Life is going to be interesting as they get older!

The Taz and Bee

The Taz has a little sister and her name is Bee. Bee is one year old and follows the Taz everywhere she goes, and I might add tries to do what the Taz does. That is until Mom catches Taz and gets after her then Bee takes off in the other direction. As if to say "It was her, not me."

Mommy is truly going to have her hands full as these two little girls get older. I see Bee following, as I think she is the follower of her big sister, and then both getting into trouble.

Mommy got a new six week old puppy today for her birthday. Actually big brother and Daddy brought the puppy home last Friday to surprise Mommy. Well the Taz thinks it's her puppy and carries it everywhere, that is until Mommy tells her to let the puppy walk by its self, then the puppy is put down. I might add put down not too gently.

All in all...........the Taz and Bee.......will be back tomorrow with more adventures.

The Taz

Another weekend with the Taz. Have you seen the commercial for Toy Story 2 where the children are let loose in the store and they run in all directions after the toys? Well when my three grandchildren hit the door and run down the long hallway of my home that is what I see. They are not bad children, on the contrary. They are good but they are so full of energy. I feel like I'm getting one out of a situation when another is into something else and I'm running back and forth all day.

I'm sure it's not all that bad but sometimes I think I'm getting too old for this! No, I need to take more vitamins so I can keep up, that's it!

After lunch I sat in the rocker with the one year old to rock her to sleep and we put the Taz on the couch so she could watch The Grinch and hopefully take a short nap too. Our grandson went up stairs with Pepaw to watch television. The baby fell asleep pretty quick but the Taz, well from doing flip flops on the couch to jumping down, then rolling all over the couch, the Taz would not give in to nap time.

Pepaw just happened to come downstairs so he picked her up and took her to the bedroom. Within ten minutes he was out with her, blanket in tow, and she was put in her corner. He went back upstairs. Within five minutes she woke the baby up. Now I've got one who is ready to hit the floor again and play and one that is supposed to be ready for nap but won't give up.

I sat on the floor and played with the baby while telling the Taz to lay down, go to sleep. Within fifteen minutes she was out. She had finally gotten still......stopped figitting around. Now to keep the one year old away from her! I put the dog fence up in the alcove where the Taz was sleeping. This did the trick. Then I felt bad.....the Taz looked like she had been caged!

All's well that ends well. Taz was down for an hour and ready to go again. Mema got an ice cream sandwich out and sat both girls on my lap. One on one leg and the other on the other leg. I gave the sandwich to Taz and she took a bite then gave sister a bite until the sandwich was gone.

Four hours later children were picked up and Pepaw and Mema relapsed on their recliners exhausted, but happy!

The Gentle Taz

Yes a gentle Taz for a change. I stopped by to help Mommy out yesterday so she could run and pick a child up from school. The Taz was playing with her doll and carriage. As I watched her there was another side to this little girl. She gently picked her baby up and cradled its head with one hand and held her back with the other. She brought her doll over to me and carefully placed her in my arms. She bent her closer to me and whispered. "Shhhh be quiet Mema."

With so many babies in the house she has been watching Mommy do this with the babies. I'm impressed with how the Taz has watched Mommy and is now following in her footsteps. There is hope then that she will outgrow being the Tazmanian Devil!!!!

Dinner with Mema and PePaw

When I said yes we would watch the three little ones yesterday afternoon I didn't realize how much exercise I'd be getting. Who needs the gym with a one year old, two and half year old, and a seven year old that is hyper active!

All three are beautiful and I love them so very much but have you ever had three running in circles and you're trying to catch at least one and then you spot another one taking a nove dive in the dog's water dish?

I took them outside to run some extra energy off and that was a wrong move. All the flowers are now gone from one pinching each bud off, right to the nub. I turned the water on so we could water together. Right..........one wanted to run through the water, one wanted to take the hose out of my completely, and the other, well let's just say, the other complained that it was too hot outside.

I put them inside, I turned the water off, and came back to the door.....and found it locked! The television was blarring, babies were screaming, and I was locked out. I started banging on the door to let Mema in when I saw down the long hall way PePaw come through the front door. He started laughing and headed to the door to let me in. He said. "Guess you'll have to find a place to hide a key in case that happens again."

There better not be a next time!

Breakfast at IHOP

It started out as an easy day so I decided I would ask my daughter if she would like to go have breakfast at IHOP. No one else in her family will go with her so we try to go when we have time. She has an in home day care and the only had two children, oh yes, her own two little girls too, one being the TAZ.

I thought that shouldn't be too bad. Surely how much trouble could four llittle ones be. True the two little ones my daughter was watching were perfect angels and I do mean angels. No screams, yelling, or crying. They ate what was set before them and drank all their milk.

Then there was the TAZ and her llittle sister. Oh I do hope she is not following in her big sister's foot steps. The Taz was up and running as soon as we all sat down. First she had to go to the bathroom NOW. Then when she got back to the table she didn't want to sit next to Gma. She wanted to sit next to Mommy. Well that was alright as I had little sister in her high chair next to me. I can handle her plus the little boy too.

The Taz was coloring, but only for a very short time. Her attention span is not very long, but then I guess at two and a half that is to be expected. We ordered and now the big wait was on. Please hurry the food. The Taz jumps up and starts walking around the table, we are sitting in the middle of the room. She starts walking faster and faster. Mommy tells her get over here and sit down. Do I have to take you to the bathroom for a good talking to?

The Taz stops and looks at Mommy and walks over to baby sister. She gives her a big, and I do mean big hug from behind. Baby sister doesn't want anything to do with bear hugs and starts to cry. Mommy tells Taz get in her chair. Was this a good idea or not? This is not relaxing for me and I'm sure not for Mommy. No wonder Mommy doesn't get to finish a meal!

An hour of grabbing for the Taz as she walks by, feeding pancakes to baby sister and little boy, holding sippee cups, cutting sausage into little bites, and oh my............I'm frazzled!

Someday both girls will be big.......yes and that's not too far off.......and we will think back on these days..................you think?

The Crayon

Grandma isn't always getting the stories of what the Taz is doing. After church yesterday we stopped by to see our babies. The Taz greeted us as we walked in the door wearing nothing but a pretty blue t shirt. She stood at the long hallway grinned and took off running for the kitchen.

We followed and found the kids sitting at the kitchen table eating the rest of their breakfast. Then it began. "Gma she's been so bad this morning."

I looked at that pretty little face with her strawberry blond hair hanging in her eyes. She looked back to the picture she had started coloring and preceeded to fill in the leaves on the flower stems. For a two and a half little girl she was staying pretty much within the lines of the leaves with the green crayon. How could such a darling little girl be so bad?

There was much talking all at once with brother telling us they had a sleep over, hugging first gmpa then gma all the while chattering. Even baby sister joined in with her jabbering. Next thing I know Taz stood up for all the world to see her shinning bottom. I gave it a small love tap and told her to go get her big girl panties on. She gave me a stern look and yelled "Papa"!

Papa put his apple struedle down and came over to see what she wanted. "What is it darlin'".
She looked at me then back at gmpa. "Mema joijkkdjkwmm jekjgig meensoo lwhenr." All the while pointing her finger or rather her crayon back and forth from me to him.

Gmpa started to laugh, first because he couldn't figure out what she was saying past the Mema point, then because she looked so funny standing in the chair, hair hanging in her eyes, only wearing her blue t shirt, and pointing her green crayon back and forth between him and gma. Before he could say anything the green crayon made a swipe down the front of his white shirt. She turned her back on both of us and began coloring again.

It happened so quickly that I turned my head and started laughing. By this time mommy made her way back into the kitchen. "Mom she's been so bad this morning I can't begin to tell you what all she's done. First off she threw one of the dogs off her bed. And I mean threw him off. I don't know what I'm going to do with her."

"Dear it's one day at a time. One day at a time."

The Taz

Another day with the Taz. I stopped by her house and when I opened the door she came running with outstretched arms "Mema's here, Mema's here."

Music to my ears but as soon as I picked her up and gave her a kiss she shimmied back down to play with her playmates. This is the last day for one little girl that's been her constant sidekick since she was born. Mommy takes care of her best girlfriend's daughter but next week she starts preschool at a day care. I forsee some hard times for both girls, you see they are only six months apart.

It's probably a good thing the Taz has a little sister she can boss around. Little sister is a year and a half younger that her. Right now she mothers, or rather smothers, her. Oh for the day for little sister to say I've had enough and pushes back.

Growing up begins!

The Taz

The Taz has been quiet for awhile, except for a few minor excapades. But the most recent one was a doosey!

Mommy has been working very hard in their new house to get each girl's bedrooms painted, curtains, and new beds. The Taz has a beautiful pink and blue room with a princess bed, which she loves to sleep in.

Little sister's room has strips of hot pink, lite pink, tan, and a dark brown. These are wide strips and look perfect. It was quite an undertaking, first paint, second keeping everyone out of the room while the paint cans sat on the floor. Most of the time the lids were off the cans, but Mommy closed the door and no one seemed to bother. That is......until the day Mommy had finished the strips and was going in to do little touch ups to make it perfect!

Mommy waited until Daddy got home, they ate dinner, Mommy cleaned the kitchen up and preceeded to go upstairs to finish her job. Both girls were sitting with Daddy watching television. Well as much television as two little girls can watch anyway.

It was late and little sister was getting tired so Mommy decided it was her bed time. She put her brush down, turned out the light, and closed the door. You guessed it, she didn't put the lid on the can!

Mommy went down stairs and got little sister ready for bed. When she came out of the bedroom the Taz was no where in sight. Mommy headed up the stairs and met the Taz coming down. "What have you been into?" Mommy exclaimed.

Taz met her with a look of sheer denial and raised hands. "What?"

"You know what I'm talking about. What have you been doing?"

Raising her hands in the air again. "What?"

Mommy grabbed her by the hand and led her back upstairs. She opened the door on the bedroom and before her lay the open can of brown paint, a dip stick, and brown paint flung across the wall and floor. She looked down at Taz and realized she also had the brown paint all over her new pair of pajamas.

Needless to say...........the Taz was changed and put to bed in her new princess bed with a frazled Mommy sitting downstairs crying.................hystericaly! It took Mommy two days to calm down. Now we're waiting for the encore...................................................and there will be one we are sure of it!

The Taz and the New Year

The Taz has been quiet for a few months. Oh the usual things like dragging her nine month sister around by her head (when no one is looking) to dressing up in everything she can find. Do you think she will be a model? The way she likes to follow the singers on tv you'd think she would like to be a singer. She is so dramatic that she will probably want to be an actress. Oh no world watch out!!!!
